The relationship between the PIL licesne and HIL licesne

I am a little confused, I have a student license which enables me to use RT-BOX, but however I can't use the PIL block , I wonder whether I can use the PIL diagram to test my algorithm on the development board before I download it into RT-BOX

Hi,

Yes, PIL license is separate from the PLECS Coder license (which you need to use the RT Box). However, with the TI C2000 target support package, it should be easier to edit the algorithm (since this would be a PLECS model) and test it in real-time using the RT Box. If you do want to use PIL, you could consider getting a trial.
