Switchin & conduction losses with variable switching frequency.

Hi everyone!

I have seen there are two blocks for computation of average switching losses and conduction losses. (periodic impulse average & periodic average).

They are used in "Buck Converter with Thermal Model" demo.

The averaging time is the 1/SW where SW is the switching frequency. So, if we have 10 kHz switching frequency we need an averaging time of 0.0001 seconds.

But this is for a known and constant switching frequency.

If I had a hysteresis control current with a switching frequency depending on the band, how can I calculate switching and conduction losses?

Thank you!
