Is it plausible to redevelop the rt-box on our own using FPGA card?

Dear specialist:

Is it possible to accelerate the simulation speed of  RT-BOX using some extra FPGA card? Or the only choice is to purchase the latest RT-BOX?

We do not support user modifications of the RT Box firmware or FPGA.

If the model does not execute in a suitable period on the RT Box then the options are:

  1. Optimize the model as much as possible.  Decouple state-space matrices where possible, remove extra meters and scopes, and make other simplifications as necessary.
  2. Split the model up across multiple RT Boxes (or multiple cores on an RT Box 2/3) using distributed real-time simulation.
  3. Explore time-scaling where the model and controller are run slower than real-time.
There are tutorials on the website for #1 and #2.  For #3 refer to Plexim support for further discussions.
