Hello, I’m new to PLECS and I can’t get a resonant ZVS buck circuit to run. When I simplify the circuit by replacing the buck converter with a 5 A DC current source, I get an error:

\*\*State/source-dependence during switching.
The state

- BuckZVS1/Lr
is directly dependent on the source(s)
- BuckZVS1/I\_dc\*\*

I don’t know how to fix this.

Please see this [FAQ on the Plexim website](https://www.plexim.com/support/solutions/166). There also is a section on the user manual dedicated to this error message. See “Using PLECS + Error Messages + State-source dependency of components”. In your case the issue arises because of a conflict between the inductor current and the DC current source.

One approach from the manual:

> Introduce a relatively large parallel resistance with the current source in order to break the inductance/current source dependency.
