Simulation is taking more than 40s(not in real time) to settle.

If you run the simulation file you can see the inductor current if L1 is taking too long to settle.

What is “too long”? I don’t believe you have a simulation problem, but if you are unhappy with the settling time, you need to modify your model. You are welcome to refer to our built-in PLECS demo model of a Dual Active Bridge converter.
