I want to perform HIL to test control strategy for power sharing in DC microgrid. DC microgrid model consist of two battery with their controller and grid interfaced converter with its controller. Can I perform it with one RT box 1 and one control card?

In the TI C2000 Target Support Package there is an example of a DC microgrid simulated using four interconnected RT Box 1’s. There is a DC grid with variable and constant power loads, two battery energy storage systems (BESS), and an AC grid interface converter. The BESS’s and grid converter are controlled using TI C2000 LaunchPads running code generated from PLECS. Your model sounds considerably more simple than this, but the demo would be a good place to start your efforts.

The goal is to test the generated code for the 3x independently operating MCUs, so each MCU is connected to a separate RT Box. Furthermore, the model must be run on several RT Box 1’s due to the required number of inputs/outputs and the required discretization step size to achieve high-fidelity results.
