How many cells of Full Bridges of STATCOM(SVG) can RT-BOX simulate in real-time?

Dear specialist:

In the SVG application, if I set the number of cells of series-connected inverter to 12, will the BOX stop functioning? The execution time of RT-BOX is roughly within 10 us when I download the three phase inverter model, but will the execution time be longer when the number of cells increases to 12?

When my paper is accepted by the IEEE, I am willing to share my model to the ‘model of this month!’

I remember there is an MMC example of RT-BOX real-time implementation~ Maybe this is the answer?

There might be a marginal increase in processor time, but I would not expect it to significantly increase the execution time. It also depends on the required discretization step size. The best way to get an answer is to simply try it yourself!

Assuming you have a three-phase MMC running on a single RT Box 1 or 2, the practical answer is that you’ll likely run out of digital inputs first since there’s only 32 digital inputs. You would likely need an RT Box 3 or multiple interconnected RT Boxes.
