Find out who uses the network license?

Is there the possibility to find out which computer / user uses the network license at the moment?

Either a program / script that communicates with the license server (LMTools) or the license server publishes it on it’s webserver.

Do you know a solution for this?

Thanks, Fred

You can open LMTools, navigate to the the Server Status tab and then click Perform Status Enquiry.

Thank you for the reply.

But I have to do this on the server? The users don’t have access to the windows server. Can they get this information from their client computer?

PLECS uses the FlexNet Publisher (previously FLEXlm) license server program for concurrent licenses, which is provided by Flexera Software. There is quite a bit of information online about different management options.

This knowledge base article could be helpful. The suggested workflows seem to require installing additional tools on the client’s PC.

Thank you. That was the information I needed.

I use now a batch file and lmutil.exe
With the command “lmutil lmstat -a -c 27000@[ServerAdress]” you can get the users with use the license at the moment. Put you servername or IP-adress in [ServerAdress].

or with the GUI lmtools.exe as described in the Link of Bryan. But I need administrator rights for this.
