PV system design with battery storage and grid-tied capabilities

I’m working on designing a PV system that will be connected to grid and battery. Power from grid is stepped up through a boost converter and from the C-bus voltage, both the inverter and battery circuit are to be connected.

How can I design the battery storage circuit to be connected to connected through a buck-boost bidirectional converter?

This sounds like a general power electronics design question and not specifically related to PLECS simulation software.
