Hi, I sometimes see the star * symbol being used after a text/name. For example in the Synchronous Buck Converter demo model, the Vout constant block has a Vout* above it. And another example in the Three Phase T-Type Inverter demo model, the Controller block symbol input pins has iq* and id*. What is the meaning of the * symbol? I could not easily find an explanation in the User Manual. Thank you.
The * symbol doesn’t have any special meaning in the PLECS software. It is essentially a naming convention used to identify reference/target values, for example, the output voltage reference for the Buck Converter is Vout* while Vout is the measured voltage.
