PLECS 4.9.5 compatibility with PLECS Coder (C2000 F28379D LaunchXL)

Hello

I am currently using PLECS version 4.9.5 and I am new to DSP controller development. I am working with the TI C2000 F28379D LaunchPad.

My goal is to learn how to use PLECS Coder from creating blocksets to generating code and deploying it to the DSP controller.

However, I noticed that the documentation/tutorials available online for The current version of the TSP requires PLECS version 5.0.2 or newer and I am not sure how to proceed with my current version.

From what I understand, the PLECS Coder (with C2000 support) is used to generate embedded code directly from the control model and interface with peripherals like PWM, ADC, etc. and i think version of plecs 4.9.5 also supports this

So I have a few questions:

  1. Is it possible to use PLECS Coder with version 4.9.5?

  2. Are there older compatible versions of PLECS Coder or target support packages available?

  3. If upgrading is required, do I need to purchase the new license for the version 5.0.2 ( this is not an option currently for me )

I would really appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to proceed.

Thank you!

Hi BAEM,

If your license allows, we recommend upgrading to PLECS 5.0.2, as it includes general improvements. The same applies to the TSP, which contains additional functionality and bug fixes.

Is your license currently expired, or are you able to use the latest version of PLECS?
