Hello,
I have a brief question to you. Is PLECS using an averaged model when calculating the transfer functions in the AC tool?
Hello,
I have a brief question to you. Is PLECS using an averaged model when calculating the transfer functions in the AC tool?
PLECS uses the as-built circuit. If your model is a switching model, then the extracted system response is based on the switched model. It is also possible to construct an average model, in which case the system response is based on the average model. There is not a behind-the-scenes step where the algorithm averages the switched model.
Dear Mr. Lieblick,
Thank you very much for your prompt answer!
From your explanations, shall I understand that the frequency response is valid and accurate for frequencies higher than the switching frequency of the dc-dc converter?
This is because I need to validate the frequency response at frequencies higher that the switching frequency of the dc-dc converter. So, may I rely on PLECS response over the switching frequency?
Thank you in advance!
