How can a controllable delay be generated between two saw tooth carriers of same frequency?

Hello Anindya,
For basic simulation without using code generation, you can use the Variable Phase PWM library component.
For code generation, you can use either:
The PWM (Variable) component if you are using the TI TSP
The HRTIM Timing Unit with the parameter Synchronization set to “Master” and the parameter Phase shift set to “Enabled” if you are using the STM TSP
In all of these cases, the phase shift of the carriers is modeled internally in an efficient and accurate manner.
Hope this helps!
Hi Munadir,
Could not locate variable phase PWM in the 4.2.6 version that I am using.
Please refer to the posts below which describe two alternative implementations of variable phase PWM that are compatible with older versions of PLECS.
This post describes the legacy modulation scheme in the “Dual Active Bridge” demo model. The carriers don’t shift, but by adjusting the duty cycles a variable phase PWM is generated.
This post describes a more general approach.
