I am currently developing a simulation in PLECS for a 12-pulse Cycloconverter (CCV) targeted at a high-power mining application (specifically for a 19.6 MW Synchronous Motor drive).
While I have the power stage topology and the synchronous machine parameters validated, I am looking for a robust reference regarding the firing pulse generation. Specifically, I am aiming to implement the Cosine Intersectional Method to synthesize the required low-frequency output (6.75 Hz) from the 50 Hz supply.
Does anyone in the community have a base model or, more specifically, a C-Script or control block that handles the alpha (\\alpha) angle modulation for a 12-pulse configuration? I am particularly interested in how to manage the synchronization and the logic for the dual-bridge antiparalelo operation (non-circulating current mode) within the PLECS environment.
Any insights, snippets, or simplified reference models would be a massive help for my research and thesis development.
